Adopted Deaf Dog To Learn ASL

In Golden, Colorado, a dog named Red was adopted but then returned a few days later after her adopted family found out she was deaf. As it turns out, nobody knew Red was deaf when she first arrived at the Foothills Animal Shelter.

While it was an unfortunate moment for Red, there is an upside. The Wags and Menace Make a Difference Foundation of Denver  offered a $1,000 grant to help her and her new adopted family learn ASL. The grant was announced on the Foothills Animal Shelter Facebook page.

If you are in the Golden area and are interested in Red, contact the Foothills Animal Shelter. Her adoption fee is $200, and the shelter says she would do best in a home with no kids and no other dogs.
