Airport Devastated By Irma
Favorite

Hurricane Irma nearly destroyed one of the most famous airports in the world, Princess Julianna International Airport, which is on the island of St. Martin. Tourists love to visit Maho Beach so they can watch incoming planes, which fly in very low.

A simple chain link fence separates the beach and the airport, and tourists hold on to the fence to keep from being blown into the sea. Officials say the airport is a priority for repair so it can receive relief supplies.
