Amtrak Crash in Washington
Favorite

This morning, in the state of Washington just south of Tacoma, an Amtrak train derailed off a bridge. The bridge was stationed over the Interstate 5, which is usually very busy. After the train derailed, it crashed into cars driving at high speed.

The interstate is blocked now and is closed. A part of the Amtrak train is still stuck between the highway and bridges. There were some injuries from the accident. The local sheriff’s office are also expecting a number of deaths. The train was identified as Number 501, which travels between Seattle and Portland.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated, however, the train was using a track that was just recently inserted. The new track was supposed to help the train reach its destination faster, and this morning was the first time that specific track was used.
