A camp at the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind is making strides in teaching students about career opportunities. STEM Wars is a special day when students can hear about fields in science, technology, engineering, or math.
STEM Wars is a one day part of a weeklong camp where students can learn and explore careers paths that are available to them. The Alabama Department of Rehabilitation Services organized the camp and it has been in operation for four years.
This year, students traveled to attend the camp and are very excited about the skills and information they are learning. Students learned about robotics, welding, and the inner workings of computers.
