On Thursday, September 29, more than 100 people were injured when a commuter New Jersey Transit train crashed into a platform in Hoboken, New Jersey. As of right now, there are multiple individuals who have critical injuries. 250 passengers were on the train at the time of the crash.
A senior transportation official stated that there were fatalities, and that the train was traveling at a high rate of speed. At least one person has been reported dead in the crash.
The crash caused a massive amount of structural damage to the station. Search and rescue teams worked to get all passengers off of the train. People have been posting pictures and comments about the incident on social media.
