The death toll in the London Apartment fire has risen to 30 people. 24 people are hospitalized, 12 of which are in critical condition. So far, 65 people have been rescued from the building, but rescuers don't expect to find any more survivors. It's possible the death toll could rise to over 100 people.
The exact cause of the fire is still unknown, but residents say they've known for quite some time that the building was a fire hazard. Their requests to update the building’s safety features were ignored by the owners. The tragedy has prompted other buildings to review their safety precautions. Prime Minister, Theresa May, has promised to conduct a full investigation.
