On Tuesday, August 8th, Disney announced that it will end its partnership with Netflix in 2019. Disney also announced that it will develop its own streaming service due to the rise in popularity. That being said, Disney will stop streaming their new releases on Netflix in 2019. That means that movies like Frozen 2, Toy Story 4 and future Star Wars films will be found on Disney’s new streaming platform.
This decision leaves Netflix with about 18 months to figure out how to replace this popular content. Roughly 30% of Netflix viewers watch Disney and animated films.
With this parting of ways, do you think you’ll sign up for Disney’s upcoming service?
