Are you a fan of exercising, or would you rather lay on the couch and eat a bag of chips instead? What if I told you that exercising can slow down the aging process?

 

On Tuesday, March 7th, a new study published in the journal, Cell Metabolism, says high-intensity interval training, encourages your cells to make more proteins- which helps slow down the aging process!

 

So, what is “high-intensity interval training?”

 

The training involves 30 seconds of intense aerobic activity within a period of moderate exercise. For example, you could sprint for 30 seconds in the middle of your jog.

 

Researchers found that high-intensity interval training produces the biggest benefits. Some experts say that it’s never too late to start exercising. Exercising is like required medication for your body, to help you grow stronger and produce more energy.  


Of course, wearing sunscreen, eating healthy, and taking your vitamins are also vital for saying young and healthy.
