Last week, Fox news received a lot of criticism because of the Bill O’reilly scandal. This week there is more criticism over of a racial discrimination lawsuit.
On Tuesday, April 25th, 13 of Fox News’ current and former employees filed three separate lawsuits claiming they’ve faced years of “hostile racial discrimination.” All the lawsuits have one person mentioned: Judith Slater.
The lawsuits state that she made comments toward black and other employees of color about their looks, age, body, and dialect. Slater was the chief financial officer until she was fired by the company in late February, 2017.
The lawsuits were filed against Fox News for not addressing these issues. The employees said that they reported the discrimination to top executives at the company, but were told nothing could be done because she knew too much about the senior executives.”
