Heavy Snowfall Hits Northeast

Winter Storm Stella may delay spring for those living in the Northeast. The National Weather Service is warning the upper Midwest, the Northeast, and the Middle Atlantic to expect heavy snowfall and possible blizzard conditions.

Cities like Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, and Cleveland will get 1-6 inches and can expect travel delays and disruptions to their daily commutes.

A winter storm watch has been issued for Washington, Baltimore and Philadelphia, which could get up to a foot of snow within the next 2 days.

But those who live around New York, Long Island, coastal Connecticut, Rhode Island or Boston are expected to get the the worst of it. They could experience 1-2 feet with winds up to 60 miles per hour. Over 500 flights have already been cancelled in these areas.

Unfortunately, the snow isn’t expected to melt quickly either. Extremely cold temperatures are expected to follow. If you live in one of these areas, travel safely and stay warm!
