Interpreter Facing 230 Years for Sex Crimes
Favorite

A 31-year-old educational sign language interpreter in Virginia is accused of committing sex crimes against a 15-year-old freshmen she met while interpreting for a Deaf high school student.

Amanda Nasser plead not guilty back in February. But on Wednesday, July 26th, she changed her plea to guilty on all 18 charges.

Investigators say Nasser had an inappropriate relationship on school grounds back in September, 2016.  She sent nude pictures to the student, gave the victim money to buy a homecoming ticket so they could see each other, befriended the victim’s mother to gain more access to him, turned her van into a bedroom which she picked him up in several times, and admitted to having sexual intercourse with him on 4 separate occasions.

Nasser, who has 3 children of her own, will be sentenced in October and will face between 7 and 230 years in prison.
