An activeattacker was reported at Ohio State University on Monday morning, November 28th. Eye witness reports reveal that the attacker used a large knife as his weapon. Police state it was a butcher’s knife. He is reported to have used his car to hit several pedestrians before getting out of his car to use the knife.The latest details reveal that ten people have been hospitalized, with one in critical condition. The suspected attacker has been killed. This event took place outside of Watts Hall, the university's materials science and engineering building.
OSU’s emergency management department sent out a tweet at 9:56am alerting students, staff and visitors about an active shooter and stated “Run, Hide, Fight. Watts Hall. 19th and College”.
OSU's main campus in Columbus is one of the largest in the U.S. The university has more than 65,000 students enrolled across the state.
The campus has officially been secured and all classes for today have been cancelled. The situation is currently under investigation.
