Mexico Rescinds Offer to Help
Favorite

On August 28th, after Hurricane Harvey powerfully struck Texas and Louisiana, Mexico offered to aid victims by sending food, beds, generators, doctors and more.

However, after nine days of no response or any offer of condolences from President Trump, the foreign ministry has formally rescinded their offer to help, as they have experienced two devastations within the past week as well. Last Thursday there was an 8.1 magnitude earthquake, and Hurricane Katia struck two days after.

Mexico will now shift its focus to repair and rescue efforts for the victims of these events. So far at least 100 people have died, and millions are in need of aid.
