Switzerland rejects citizens basic-income plan

Switzerland voted overwhelmingly to reject a basic income plan for its citizens. The measure would have ensured every adult would receive a minimum income of roughly 2,500 dollars a month, regardless of how much of it they earned. Those who earn less than the minimum income level would have received a supplemental payment. Those with no income would have received the entire amount each month.
