Lately, more and more vehicle manufacturing companies are starting to produce electric and hybrid cars.
Yesterday, Toyota officially joined that group. Usually, Toyota produces vehicles that run on gas. Starting today, they want to be able to provide an electric-version or a hybrid for every kind of car they produce. They want have an electric/hybrid car for every model by 2025.
Toyota also wants to make it a goal that, by 2030, those type of cars will make up most of their products. Toyota plans to start selling these cars by targeting China. China is a large and heavily populated country. It also has some challenges with pollution. Those cars might be able to help with that problem! After China, Toyota will start to target other locations like Japan, Europe, India and...the United States.
