Last Sunday, a shooting occurred at the Burnette Chapel church in Nashville Tennessee. The shooting killed Melanie Crow, a mother of two, and injured 8 others including the pastor just before a service began. The gunman was a 25-year old legal U.S. resident from Sudan who was dressed as a clown. He was later captured then taken to a local hospital.
Church members are praising a 22-year old usher who was there to confront the gunman and helped lead to his capture. Robert Engle fought down the attacker while being pistol-whipped, but the gunman accidently shot himself instead. Engle then went to his car to get his own registered gun and came back to watch over the attacker until police arrived.
