Trump Blames U.S. for Trade Deficit

During the presidential campaign, Donald Trump criticized China for taking advantage of the U.S. with unfair trade deals. But now on a 12-day tour of Asia, after meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Trump said he no longer blames China for taking advantage of other countries, including America.

 

Instead, he blamed former U.S. presidents for allowing America’s trade deficit with China to grow. American officials announced during Trump’s visit that the two countries, America and China, signed business agreements worth $250 billion.
