UPS orders 125 Teslas

This morning, UPS announced that they will pre-order 125 all-electric Semi-Trucks from Tesla Inc. Those trucks are about $200,000 each. The total order is about $25 million.

Those trucks are supposed to be much cheaper than diesel trucks which benefits businesses who want to save money. Plus if you buy a Tesla Semi truck then you will get some free electric charges. Tesla is selling a very small number of electric trucks right now.

However, if these companies seem to really like the electric trucks then they will buy more of these trucks. An order of 125 trucks is just the beginning. It could become hundreds and thousands. You might see them all over the country. Tesla will start producing these Semi-Trucks in 2019.
