On Monday July 10th, a US Marine C-130 plane, which is responsible for refueling planes in the air and carrying cargo, crashed into the farm lands in Leflore County, Mississippi. At least 16 people on the plane were killed.
The names of the deceased have not been released, because officials wanted to inform their loved ones first.
President Trump called the crash heartbreaking and sent his condolences. The Marine Forces Reserve stated they’re unsure what caused the crash and an investigation is underway. Authorities don’t suspect foul play was involved.
