Walmart Apologizes For Controversial Image
Favorite

The company Walmart every year has a ‘Back to School’ slogan. On Wednesday, August 9th, a viral photo of a sign that read “Own the school year like a hero,” was shown over a gun display in one of their stores. This has caused a lot of controversy on social media. People were upset and thought it could cause more mass shootings in schools.

Walmart promptly responded to the controversial photo by apologizing. Walmart is currently investigating which store the photo was taken at and whether it was a customer prank or other possible scenarios.

Walmart wrote many tweets calling the image, “Definitely NOT okay,” “terrible,” and a “regrettable situation.” How do you feel about this? Let us know.
