Hello everyone! Welcome to Tru Biz! I’m Karla and here are your stories for this week.

Since Hurricane Harvey hit Texas, Hollywood has been giving back.

Comedian Kevin Hart challenged his celebrity friends to donate money to those who have been affected. Yes, tru biz! Celebrities like who? Chris Brown, JAY-Z, Sandra Bullock, The Rock, J Lo & Alex Rodriguez, Jensen Ackles, Rachael Ray, Ellen DeGeneres, the Kardashian family, and so many more.

Kevin is not the only celebrity trying to raise donations! Houston Texans player J.J. Watt is trying to raise $10 million on his non-profit YouCaring page.

Wow, how touching.

Taylor Swift’s newest single, called “Look What You Made Me Do,” broke so many records! Her animated lyric video hit 19 million views in 24 hours. Her official music video hit over 85 million views! Wow!

She allegedly threw shade at celebrities in that music video such as Katy Perry, Calvin Harris, and Kim Kardashian! Tru biz! She so did! Taylor’s “Reputation” album will be released on November 10th! And get this, it will be released on the 10th anniversary of Kanye West’s mother’s passing. Ooh, shady.

Interview Magazine just released their September issue which has Kim Kardashian West on the cover! But she was channeling former First Lady, Jackie Kennedy Onassis. And people were not happy about it. Tru biz.

People took to Twitter by saying comments like, “When we start comparing Kim Kardashian to Jackie Kennedy, we have officially failed as a country.”

Did you take a look at it? What do you think?

There’s a new Hellboy reboot coming out, but there is one problem. Ed Skrein, a white actor, was cast as Major Ben Daimio, which is an Asian character! Tru biz.

But wait right there. People criticized the casting as “whitewashing.” Ed didn’t know that the character was Asian and decided to drop out of the movie. YES! TRU BIZ, he did! He did it because it felt right.

Wow! Amazing!! Will Hollywood listen and do the same thing for #DeafTalent and disabled communities, too?
